Abby Gentile, MA, LCPC, PMH-C, Clinical Manager
Abby Gentile, MA, LCPC, PMH-C (she/her pronouns) is a licensed clinical professional counselor and a certified Perinatal Mental Health Counselor. She is also the Team Leader of our Frankfort office. Abby is extremely passionate about building rapport and collaborating with clients to create an environment of acceptance, safety, and support. She assists and empowers clients to create goals that can be integrated into their daily lives and believes compassion, understanding, and trust are key factors throughout the entire therapeutic process. Abby strives to meet clients where they are and help clarify which areas they would like to improve. While therapy can be overwhelming at times, Abby’s main goal is to provide clients with a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere throughout their therapeutic journey.
Abby obtained her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Governors State University, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology at Illinois State University. Abby has direct clinical experience working with adolescents with intellectual disabilities, individuals experiencing domestic violence, and community mental health.
Abby’s experience includes a variety of ages, as well as a wide spectrum of mental health issues. While she understands the importance of modifying the counseling experience to each client’s individualized needs, she typically integrates client-centered, CBT, mindfulness, with attachment based focus therapy. Abby has been trained to care for those who have perinatal mood disorders (anxiety or depression during pregnancy or post partum) through Postpartum Support International. Abby has also completed LGBTQ+ Clients: Queer Affirmative Strategies to Address Sexual and Gender Identity.
