Ashley Morton (she/her) is a pre-licensed therapist at Begin Within Therapy. Ashley received her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Applied Behavioral Science from the University of Kansas. 

Ashley has experience in working with children and adolescents as well as couples and adults navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, crises, and life transitions in settings such as crisis response centers, community health, and private practice.Ashley aims to create a safe and affirming space for her clients and enjoys using elements of humor, self-reflection, and creativity to promote growth and healing. 

Ashley uses a person-centered humanistic approach with elements of psychodynamic and emotionally focused practices that help deepen a client’s understanding of themselves and how they relate to the world around them. She hopes to make clients feel seen, heard, and respected. 

She is currently accepting new clients at the Mount Greenwood office and offers morning, afternoon, and evening availability in-person or via telehealth. She can be reached at ashley@beginwithinchicago.
