Angela Bush, MA, LCPC, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Angela is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Clinical Supervisor at Begin Within Therapy, where she also serves as the Frankfort Team Lead. She brings a wealth of experience, compassion, and leadership to her work with clients of all ages.
Angela earned her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Chicago and her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Iowa. Throughout her career, she has worked across a variety of settings—including child welfare, community mental health, and inpatient and outpatient hospitals—giving her a well-rounded and deeply informed perspective.
Angela specializes in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults, supporting clients through challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, school and behavioral issues, grief and loss, infertility, postpartum mental health, and family dynamics including divorce, co-parenting, and adoption.
She also has extensive experience in crisis intervention, helping families navigate high-stress situations with the goal of strengthening relationships, promoting stability, and supporting healing.
Angela’s approach is warm, collaborative, and strength-based. She focuses on creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel truly heard and understood. Using evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, mindfulness, play therapy, person-centered, and solution-focused approaches, she tailors each session to meet the unique needs of the individual or family.
Angela is passionate about helping clients not only overcome challenges, but also build confidence, resilience, and a deeper understanding of themselves. Her goal is to walk alongside each client as they move toward meaningful, lasting change.
