Angela Bush, MA, LCPC, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Angela received her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy in Chicago as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Iowa.
Angela has been afforded the opportunity throughout her clinical experience to provide services to children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and families in the child welfare system, community and behavioral mental health, inpatient and outpatient hospital settings. Angela also has experience in providing crisis intervention services in an effort to maintain family preservation and or reunification for children and families in crisis.
Angela has a clinical specialty in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults, addressing issues such as anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, academic and behavioral problems, adoption, grief and loss, school and behavioral issues, adoption, infertility and postpartum anxiety/depression; adjustment disorders, life transitions, relationship issues, divorce/separation, co-parenting, and family conflicts.
Angela's approach to therapy is interpersonal and strength-based, and she uses a variety of psychotherapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT, Mindfulness, Play Therapy, Person-Centered,and Solution-focused therapies.
Angela places great emphasis on building positive relationships with her clients based on warmth, trust, and collaboration. Angela is committed to helping her clients overcome their challenges and reach their desired goals, facilitating personal growth in the process.
