Liz is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to individuals across the lifespan.

Liz earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Resurrection University College of Nursing. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Resurrection University. Prior to her work at Begin Within Therapy Services, she worked in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings, caring for patients with a wide range of mental health conditions.

Liz's clinical interests include the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric disorders across the lifespan, beginning at age 6. She is committed to delivering individualized, patient-centered care that recognizes each person's unique strengths, goals, and experiences.

Her treatment approach integrates evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. Liz works collaboratively with her patients to develop healthy coping strategies, improve emotional well-being, and promote a balanced, healthy lifestyle that supports both mind and body. She strives to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel empowered to achieve their mental health goals.
