Taylor Kelly, MA, LPC
My name is Taylor Kelly and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Loras College and I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Governors State University. I strive to provide a warm, welcoming, and safe environment for each of my clients through my non-judgmental manner.
I work with individuals ages 12+ that are seeking treatment for a variety of reasons, such as Anxiety, Depression, Life Changes/Adjustments, Relationship Issues, Self-Esteem/Self-Worth, Trauma/PTSD, and Women’s Issues. I aim to build a strong, collaborative therapeutic alliance to allow my clients to feel safe and empowered while becoming the best versions of themselves.
I hold advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). I utilize a variety of treatment approaches consisting of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, and Psychodynamic, while also integrating attachment focused and polyvagal informed interventions.
I believe there is a deeply rooted connection between a person’s past experience in childhood and their current issues and mindset. It is my intention to meet my clients where they are at, while also being aware that their past played an important role in how they became the person they are today. I find meaning in advocating for those who struggle with their mental health, and I want you to know that you are not alone on your journey.
I am currently accepting new clients at the Mount Greenwood and Frankfort locations, also via telehealth. If you’d like to make an appointment, please reach out to me at taylor@beginwithinchicago.com or at (312)-344-3733.
