Beth Walsh Montgomery is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with a specialty of treating substance use disorders and compulsive gambling. Beth has a masters in social work and has been working in the addiction field for almost 15 years. Beth has also worked in outpatient and inpatient mental health programs and most recently in private practice. Beth works with clients ages 15 through 65 years old and has experience with treating mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, impulse control disorders, clients going through the grief process, substance use and gamling disorders.
Beth has a non- judgemental and gentle approach while utilizing dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in addition to motivational interviewing with compassion and reflection while working with clients. Beth looks for the positive in each and every client and will do her best to build upon the client’s strengths to increase acknowledgement and awareness of what treatment goals will be worked on while in therapy. Beth is a registered yoga teacher and believes it’s important to connect our physical and behavioral health to one another in order to achieve long lasting goals. Beth has completed LGBTQ+ Clients: Queer Affirmative Strategies to Address Sexual and Gender Identity training as well.
