Kayla Lucas, M.A. LPC

Kayla Lucas is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a graduate of North Park University where she received her Masters in Counseling Psychology. Prior to graduate school she attended University of Illinois at Chicago where she graduated with her Bachelors in Liberal Arts and Sciences Applied Psychology. Kayla uses more of an integrated approach to therapy that is tailored to her clients, to empower them to create change within their own lives.
Kayla specializes in relationship trauma such as domestic violence, sexual assault, DCFS, divorce, and childhood attachment that has negatively impacted forming healthy relationships in adulthood. She believes that trauma does not define one’s life but through communication and community it is possible to heal all wounds.
Kayla has worked in a hospital setting giving her the experience of more severe trauma as well as private practice serving clients who need to cope with everyday life stressors. Kayla utilizes her clinical experience and research done abroad, to walk alongside clients on their journey to not only effectively draw closer towards others, but closer towards themselves.
