Celeste McFarland, APRN, FNP, PMHNP

Celeste McFarland is a highly skilled, dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over 16 years of experience spanning neonatal, pediatric, and adult healthcare. She is dedicated to providing exceptional, holistic care through evidence-based treatment plans that prioritize the well-being of her patients. Known for her compassionate approach and strong leadership, Celeste has built a reputation for fostering meaningful patient relationships and promoting health education.

Celeste’s clinical expertise includes managing complex psychiatric conditions, prescribing and monitoring psychopharmacological therapies, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated care. She has worked across a diverse range of healthcare settings, including urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, and telehealth, as well as with underserved populations and patients with severe mental health disorders. Additionally, she serves as a sub-investigator for groundbreaking clinical research, contributing to advancements in healthcare.

In addition to her clinical practice, Celeste is a passionate educator, currently serving as an adjunct professor and clinical instructor in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at Franklin University. She is also on the faculty as an adjunct clinical instructor for pediatrics at Chamberlain University. Her role involves mentoring the next generation of nurse practitioners through dynamic instruction and real-world insights, ensuring they are well-prepared for the complexities of modern healthcare.

Celeste holds a Post-Master’s Certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Olivet Nazarene University, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bradley University. She is board-certified by the ANCC in both specialties and maintains advanced certifications, including Full Practice Authority in Illinois and Minnesota.

When she’s not providing care or educating future practitioners, Celeste enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and exploring new culinary experiences. She also loves staying active through yoga and group fitness classes, finding these activities to be essential for maintaining balance and mindfulness in her demanding profession.
