Sarah Tisser, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Sarah Tisser (she/her pronouns) was born and raised in France and lived in Israel for 10 years. She is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who is qualified to diagnose, treat, and prescribe medication for children, adolescents, and adults.  Sarah specializes in women’s issues, including depression and anxiety during pregnancy and pospartum, as well as sexual dysfunction in women. Sarah is a member of Postpartum Support International.

Prior to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner, Sarah was a laboratory scientist and focused on substance abuse. She was also a clinical instructor in psychiatry for DePaul university. She has experience treating all psychiatric disorders as well as migraines.  Sarah is passionate about providing quality, compassionate and comprehensive mental health services to the community. 

Sarah completed her Bachelor’s in Medical Sciences from Hadassah College in Jerusalem, Israel. She obtained her Master’s degree from DePaul University, Chicago and her Post- Master’s degree in Psychiatric Mental health from University of Cincinnati, Ohio. She is currently enrolled into a Doctorate of Nursing Practice and is working on her capstone project about the effects of mindfulness meditation on patients with anxiety. 

When not at work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her two children. She also enjoys traveling, learning new languages, reading and be active. 

Sarah is accepting telehealth appointments and sees clients in person in our Mt Greenwood and Lagrange locations.
